Since launch, World of Warcraft has had eight major expansion packs: The Burning Crusade (2007), Wrath of the Lich King (2008), Cataclysm (2010), Mists of Pandaria (2012), Warlords of Draenor (2014), Legion (2016), Battle for Azeroth (2018), and Shadowlands (2020). To get into the Classic PTR, all you’ll need to do is open up the application on your computer and with the “Game Version” drop down menu, select “Public Test Realm (Classic)” under the “In Development” category. At the bottom of the next screen, you’ll see an option to create a PTR account so that you can “access new World of Warcraft content before it goes live.” How do I get classic PTR? Once logged in, select the “Games & Subscriptions” option in the tab to the left side of the screen. In the starter Editions & Public Test Regions section, they will have to select Create PTR Account to get started with the PTR. World of Warcraft subscribers who are interested in the pre-patch for Shadowlands will need to go to their account management, then games and subscriptions.
